Study Action Team (SAT): How to effectively help others understand Lean Construction correlates to better project outcomes

In this three hour interactive Study Action Team, Charles Roundtree and Katie Barnes will  facilitate discussions around key and seminal books on the topic of helping people within the context of Continuous Improvement. Attendees will learn the answers to the following seminal questions and their supporting constructs, with most of the ideas and concepts being applicable the very next day.

  • Why trying to help people can be very frustrating?
  • The difference is between good help and bad help.
  • Why doesn’t the client just tell you what they want?
  • Schein’s idea behind a humble inquiry approach, contrasted with the typical business approach to asking pointed questions and quickly offering solutions.
  • How to discover if a person is really asking for help or is simply asking for reassurance.
  • What’s at the heart of effectively helping others?
  • What is help?
