Denver Health recently received the 2016 Peak Award granted by Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence (RMPEx). The Peak Award is the regional equivalent of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, which recognizes organizations that achieve and sustain the highest levels of overall performance excellence. Denver Health received this award based on many strengths identified in its Peak application, such as leadership, strategic planning, efforts to improve the patient experience, emphasis on workforce engagement, and the widespread utilization of Lean tools and a Lean Management System in numerous ways to design and improve work processes and enhance the quality of health care services.
“The Peak Award represents all of the qualities that matter most to Denver Health,” said Tim Harlin, Ph.D., chief operating officer. “Winning this award is not just a reason for celebration but also strong motivation for pushing forward with even greater energy and enthusiasm. We have been on a learning journey since 2005, and the most recent feedback from Peak will help us to continue to deploy and improve our key systems and performance.”
Please join us for this special opportunity to learn about and help celebrate Denver Health’s Lean journey toward performance excellence.
